Edge Hill, Cairns is an established inner suburb of Cairns. It is mainly residential in nature, but has some significant natural and cultural areas and facilities within its boundaries. Edge Hill has a state primary school with Prep classes and is about 5-10mins drive from a number of other schools including Trinity Bay State High School and St Francis Xavier’s Catholic Primary School in Manunda and another large state primary school in Whitfield. Cairns High School and two Catholic high schools are in Cairns city district, about 10mins drive south.
Sunbus provides some public transport to the area and taxis are available.
